Celanese
The vinyl acrylic line of emulsions (Avicor™ brand) enables formulators to meet durability and high scrub requirements in both conventional and low VOC paints. These emulsions are designed for interior and exterior use, where durability and washability are key requirements.
The specialty terpolymer product (vinyl acetate/VeoVa™/acrylic) is specially designed for weather resistance, alkali and efflorescence resistance for use in masonry.
Celanese emulsions also play a large role in the application characteristics of coatings including excellent touch-up for the contractor or good rheology for smooth flow and even finish for DYIer. The VAE emulsions can help the dry paint film to achieve good stain and scrub resistance as well as superior durability.
The Polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) hopolymers, styrene acrylic and pure acrylic emulsions can be used in a variety of end-use applications, including paper packaging and converting adhesives, flooring, carpet and tile adhesives, high-moisture packaging adhesives, laminating adhesives, permanent pressure sensitives adhesives, woodworking and non-wovens
adhesives.
Celanese has a technical service group located in Houston and three emulsions facilities in North America to support the local requirements.
