Conshohocken, PA (3/29/2021) After 23 years of service at Van Horn, Metz & Co., Inc. John Nomelli is retiring. John served as the New England Sales Manager since 1997. Through the years he developed many relationships with customers and coworkers.
“I really enjoyed working with my coworkers and my customers,” he said. “Not only were they my customers, they were my friends.”
Before coming to VHM, John worked as a sales representative for Wacker Silicones. He earned his B.A. in Business Administration from University of Connecticut.
“We’ve had a good trip together from Wacker to your joining Van Horn, Metz & Co.,” said Barry Fisher, President of VHM. “Wacker’s loss was our gain. When we needed a regional manager in New England, the VHM sales team lobbied hard for you to join us. Their reasons came from your diligence, you always returned phone calls when at Wacker.”
John was known as the morning chef during VHM’s annual sales meeting, the savant of silicones, and the go to for stock market knowledge.
“He has a treasure trove of ideas on epoxy and polymeric flooring, wall compounds, [and] grouts,” said Andy Romano, VP Director of Sales. “He is also pretty good at using those products himself.”
John plans to move to South Carolina with his wife Mamie to enjoy watching horse races and polo.
Please join us in saying thank you, and congratulating John on his career with VHM!
