Synthetic Amorphous Silica
- Quartzene® Z1 hydrophilic
It consists to more than 90% of amorphous hydrophilic silicon dioxide, CAS No 112926-00-8. Quartzene® Z1 powder is not explosive, flammable, or combustible. The material is predominantly mesoporous and inherently hygroscopic. Quartzene® Z1 powder can be used up to at least 900ºC without significant loss of physical or chemical integrity.
- Quartzene® Z1 hydrophobized
It consists to more than 90% of hydrophobized amorphous silicon dioxide, CAS No 68909-20-6. Quartzene® Z1 hydrophobized powder is not explosive, flammable, or combustible. Thermal decomposition can take place above 300º C under the release of carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide. Quartzene® Z1 hydrophobized powder can be used up to at least 250º C without significant loss of physical or chemical integrity. The material is considered stable under the conditions of recommended use and will not decompose or be incompatible with other materials
