Acrylic Latex Binders

Acrylic latex binders provide unparalleled performance for exterior architectural and industrial coatings, non-woven binders, pressure-sensitive adhesives, concrete admixtures, exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS), roof coatings, and sealants. Acrylic polymers inherently provide excellent exterior durability and hydrolytic stability that make these products preferred binders for a broad range of high-performance demands.

  • SC-9032

    StanChem SC 9032 is a higher solids, all-acrylic copolymer latex designed for high performance elastomeric roof coatings. SC 9032 provides excellent flexibility and dirt pick up resistance while enabling strong adhesion to multiple surfaces common to roofing systems. Additionally, SC 9032 provides superb weatherability with excellent water and UV resistance.

  • SC-6000

    StanChem SC 6000 is an all-acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for general purpose adhesives.

  • SC-6016

    StanChem SC 6016 is self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion that requires heat for proper cure (typically a minimum of 200°F, depending on heat and dwell time). SC 6016 can be used as the sole binder in many textile or non-woven applications, but crosslink density can be significantly increased when used alongside amino resins. Acid catalyst will also increase the rate of cure.

  • SC-6026

    StanChem SC 6026 is crosslinking acrylic latex, forming a soft film with excellent dry cleaning and laundering resistance. SC 6026 can be used as a binder for non-woven, fabric coating/saturation, water-based textile printing systems, and flocking and laminating adhesives.

  • SC-6044

    StanChem SC 6044 is a high solids, medium hand, all acrylic and self-crosslinking emulsion. SC 6044 provides outstanding durability to washing and dry cleaning.

  • SC-6074

    StanChem SC 6074 is a crosslinking acrylic polymer, with utility in a variety of textile and non-woven applications. SC 6074 can be used to impart a soft stiffness of hand to all types of textiles and non-woven applications.

  • SC-6116

    StanChem SC 6116 is an acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for pressure sensitive adhesive applications where outstanding creep resistance and good peel strength are desired. SC 6116 offers outstanding adhesion to a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous substrates, and maintains excellent flexibility and water resistance when combined with compounding fillers.

  • SC-6129

    StanChem SC 6129 is a self-crosslinking acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for textiles, non-wovens, and coatings requiring a soft feel. SC 6129 is formaldehyde- and APEO-free.

  • SC-6133

    StanChem SC 6133 is a 100% acrylic, self-crosslinking emulsion designed for durable coatings and binders for textiles and non-woven applications. SC 6133 is formaldehyde free and contains no APEO surfactants.

  • SC-6134

    StanChem SC 6134 is a self crosslinking all-acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for textile and non-woven binding applications. SC 6134 provides good chemical and water resistance when cured. SC 6134 is APEO-free.

  • SC-6141

    StanChem SC 6141 is a low molecular weight, hydroxyl functional acrylic dispersion designed for cure with melamine or isocyanate crosslinking agents, or used alone as a temporary, removable coating.

  • SC-6153

    StanChem SC 6153 is a high Tg, heat reactive acrylic copolymer emulsion that exhibits excellent UV resistance, good solvent resistance and good pigment binding.

  • SC-6185

    StanChem SC 6185 is a crosslinking acrylic copolymer emulsion which is used in a variety of textile, paper, and non-woven applications. SC 6185 imparts laundering and dry cleaning durability, excellent tear strength and crease recovery, as well as improved pilling resistance. SC 6185 forms a film which is highly resistant to ultraviolet discoloration. It can be used to impart stiffness of hand to all types of textiles and non-woven substrates.

  • SC-6210

    StanChem SC 6210 is a low odor acrylic emulsion specifically designed as a cement mortar modifier to impart outstanding flexural, adhesive, and impact strengths.

  • SC-6261

    StanChem SC 6261 is a 100% acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for durable house and trim paints. Coatings made with SC 6261 exhibit good wet adhesion and dirt pick-up resistance, as well as excellent outdoor durability and gloss retention.

  • SC-6300

    StanChem SC 6300 is an all acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for decorative concrete stains and sealers, providing excellent blush resistance and weatherability. Coatings made with SC 6300 provide excellent hardness development, as well as good chemical and hot tire pickup resistance.

  • SC-6455

    StanChem SC 6445 is an acrylic copolymer emulsion that exhibits excellent UV resistance and good solvent resistance. Due to its carboxyl functionality, SC 6445 provides excellent pigment dispersion, and can be crosslinked with melamine.

  • SC-6458

    StanChem SC 6458 is a 100% acrylic copolymer that exhibits excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including metal, wood, and cementitious surfaces. SC 6458 is self-crosslinking, as well as being capable of crosslinking with urea-formaldehyde or melamine resins.

  • SC-6477

    StanChem SC 6477 is a highly efficient, alkali-swellable acrylic polymer that is recommended for thickening synthetic emulsion systems. Thickening (viscosity increase and/or rheology) begins with the addition of ammonia, sodium hydroxide, or other amine to raise the pH to a range of 7.0-8.0 for maximum effect.

  • SC-6483

    StanChem SC 6483 is a high solids, pressure sensitive acrylic copolymer designed for a variety of tape and label applications.

  • SC-6484

    StanChem SC 6484 is a pressure sensitive adhesive which exhibits excellent adhesion to polyolefin surfaces, and provides an outstanding balance of tack, peel, adhesion and shear. SC 6484 also exhibits excellent early water resistance.

    StanChem SC 6486 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion offering designed for textile and non-woven applications. SC 6486 provides excellent flexibility, good hydrophobic properties, and durability to washing and dry cleaning.

    StanChem SC 6508 is an acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for exterior latex paints where wet adhesion is desired. Use of SC 6508 imparts improved adhesion to chalky and weathered surfaces.

  • SC-6586

    StanChem SC 6586 is an acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for textile applications. SC 6586 can be crosslinked with an acid catalyst and heat at about 200°F.

  • SC-6902

    StanChem SC 6902 is an acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for interior and exterior stain and tannin-blocking primers and sealers. This polymer provides excellent weatherability, wet adhesion and is low VOC capable.

  • SC-6908

    StanChem SC 6908 is an acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for exterior latex paints. SC 6908 provides excellent weatherability, wet adhesion and adhesion to chalky or weathered substrates. Additionally, SC 6908 is designed to provide superior stain and tannin stain blocking properties compared to conventional weatherable acrylic binders.

  • SC-6914

    StanChem SC 6914 is an acrylic copolymer designed for clear and pigmented wood coatings. SC 6914 provides excellent hardness, toughness, early water resistance and scratch resistance. SC 6914 is provided with coalescing solvents for ease of formulating and applications such as factory applied sealers, varnishes, and pigmented coatings.

    StanChem SC 6932 is an acrylic copolymer latex typically used in elastomeric coatings, sealants, and caulks. SC 6932 exhibits excellent adhesion, exterior durability, and low temperature flexibility, and is APEO- and formaldehyde-free.

    StanChem SC 6945 is a carboxylated, self-crosslinking acrylic copolymer emulsion that exhibits excellent UV resistance, good solvent resistance, and good pigment wetting characteristics. SC 6945 additionally can be crosslinked with amino resins for better crosslink density.

  • SC-6946

    StanChem SC 6946 is a crosslinking acrylic copolymer typically used in a variety of textile, paper, and non-woven applications. SC 6946 imparts excellent laundering and dry cleaning durability, excellent tear strength and crease recovery, as well as improved pilling resistance. SC 6946 exhibits excellent UV resistance, and is self-thickening with an increase in pH.

    StanChem SC 6947 is a small particle size acrylic copolymer latex, designed to provide excellent penetration to porous substrates such as concrete and wood. In sealers and stains, SC 6947 will provide excellent water resistance, UV stability, and non-yellowing performance, while also exhibiting outstanding resistance to hydrostatic pressure.

    StanChem SC 6991 is an acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for construction adhesives that require high tack and excellent peel adhesion across multiple bonding surfaces.

  • SC-9010
