(Conshohocken, PA, September 1, 2020) Van Horn, Metz (VHM), is pleased to announce that Andy Romano has been promoted to VP and Director of Sales. Andy will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the Van Horn, Metz Sales team and the Principals’ growth strategy.
Andy Romano was instrumental in his position as a VHM Regional Sales Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region; successfully growing and developing the territory over the last four years. He will be in charge of managing the sales activities, identifying new market opportunities and defining the actions required to bring a new dynamic to our business and generating new growth.
Andy’s background includes four years with Van Horn, Metz; prior to joining Van Horn, Metz, Andy was the Coatings Resins Market Manager for Evonik Corp. He also served as Product Manager for GAF Materials Corp. and Project Manager for Drew Division Ashland Chemical. Andy’s technical background includes research and development of new products for coatings, inks, latex and adhesives industries focused on foam control, inverse emulsion polymers and water-soluble polymers. His experience as a Senior Research Chemist lead him into developing several patents for foam control agents for coatings, silicone based defoamers and UV curable additives for low gloss coatings.
His wealth of knowledge in the chemical industry, as well as his experience in our markets, will serve Andy well as the new VP and Director of Sales where his technical and commercial support will be needed.
