PI102 is also a very low structure specialty black designed to exhibit high gloss and higher jetness in printing inks. PI137 is suitable for both aqueous and non-aqueous liquid inks requiring low viscosity, high gloss and high jetness. It helps the liquid to maintain fluid viscosity required for printing processes. This black imparts fast wetting, blue undertone and good dispersion stability of the ink. Its low vehicle demand contributes to the gloss which is essential in this application. It helps with abrasion resistance of the finished print which is a prerequisite for packaging ink. It can also be used in liquid and powder coating applications. PI137 is also suitable for engineering plastics application.
